During this breakout session participants will delve into the key elements of working up a sexual abuse/assault case with a particular focus on telling the victim’s story in a way that enrages jurors against the institutional defendant’s conduct and allows them to understand the lifelong harm that sexual abuse causes. Ms. Cerri will provide participants with case details from one or more of her cases and will give participants the opportunity to provide their own case details in advance so the group can collaborate on ways to work up these cases from start to finish and ways to best tell the story of these cases starting with the mini-opening statement.
