Jury Selection and Closing Argument

David Rudorfer

This workshop will cover key strategies from David’s recent trial in August 2022 involving a negligent supervision sex abuse case that resulted in a $26,000,000 verdict. Specifically, we will focus on (1) jury selection strategies to get cause strikes on unfavorable jurors while at the same time setting up key damages concepts to help your favorable jurors reach a substantial verdict; and (2) building on the damages concepts established in jury selection during your closing argument to assist in asking the jury to return a substantial verdict. Below is the golden piece of paper with the list of key forms of damages that David used during jury selection and closing argument that went straight to the past and future damages on the verdict form.
